Geoff and Richard’s Camino de Santiago Walk Fundraiser
The whole team at Tonic are very grateful for Geoff Pine, one of Tonic’s founders and his husband Richard Whites's choice have fundraised for Tonic as they completed the 800+ kilometre Camino de Santiago Walk, from the 3rd July to the 4th August this year.
A huge congratulations and thank you to Geoff and Richard on competing this amazing journey, we have been so impressed with their stamina and resilience especially given the heat in Europe this summer. We have been bowled over by the generosity of their friends, and it will make a huge difference to what we can do for residents, current and future.
Your donation will help us keep connected with people, host more community-led events and activities in the UK’s first LGBT+ affirming retirement community, Tonic@Bankhouse, and enable us to look at further opportunities for future schemes across the UK.

We have received an incredible anonymous donation of £20,000 in geoff and richard’s honour on completion of their walk.
A note from geoff and richard before setting off
We are walking the Camino de Santiago, 800+ kilometres, starting on July 3rd for 34 days, in order to raise funds to support the growth of Tonic Housing. Tonic have now opened the UK’s first LGBT+ retirement community – Tonic@BankHouse. This is the first, but we need to do more to be able to support the needs of the whole LGBT+ retirement community.
