COMMUNITY PANEL

Our Community Panel has a very important role in Tonic; to co-produce our LGBT+ affirming retirement communities.

This means working with us to shape the specification, design and operation of the schemes based on a shared understanding of the communities’ needs and requirements (or an individual’s needs within the community).

Our Panel is made up of people who are interested in Tonic’s work, maybe looking to become future residents, are over 50+ and identify as LGBT+. Their highly valued input is their lived experience and expertise. Panel members are volunteers who are selected to ensure that we have a diverse range of voices and experiences to consider and constructively challenge our work.

The Panel first met in April 2018 and has been reporting their recommendations directly to the Board of Directors. We will be reviewing our Community Panel and potentially expanding the membership, this is due to now having Tonic residents at Bankhouse.
